maybe so. some have argued he's safer in the juvenile facility he's in and being in the adult jail even briefly will be bad for him. some have argued his lawyers are stretching things out for monetary gain. I'm not sure which it is.

God I hope he is ok. I think they are going to take him to an adult jail until he can get out on bail. Hopefully he has the full bail amount raised.
I don't like needless gun deaths either, but I don't really believe anymore that they're being honest about their real motivations. Don't let people disarm you and leave you helpless, people who care about you will want you to be able to protect yourself.
it's a very real possibility, Lawyer Robert Barnes was talking about how a self-defense case in which Michael Strickland (hope I spelled that right) brandished a gun (that's all that happened) in a case that was clearly a dangerous situation warranting it. And he was convicted anyway, it was a politicized case like Kyle's.
We need to remain vigilant and be sure as citizens that this is handled properly.

afaik, he lived nearby, he worked there, he had family there, and he had stayed with a friend in Kenosha the night before.

In the video you can skip around to different parts of what happened that night, how Kyle behaved at various points, whether it looked a reasonable person would have been in fear of life or serious bodily harm in similar situations, etc.

We would not know what's actually happening on the ground without these people capturing the footage. It would be easier for hostile parties to lie about what really happened without their footage. Grateful for their work.

I think maybe he had not taken them off after giving someone medic aid, but I'm not sure. They've been described as the kind medical staff use.
The only charge that remains is disorderly conduct; the felony recklessly endangering safety charge for firing the handgun will not proceed.
Also an oddity in the Ziminski situation: the lack of any charges for possession of a firearm. Per a Wisconsin Right Now report, Ziminski has multiple convictions for violating harassment orders, which may make him a prohibited person for domestic violence. He also has a 2005 marijuana conviction which definitely gave him prohibited status.
This is extremely disturbing and we shouldn't let it just slide. What happened exactly? Was it the same DA who charged Kyle in Wisconsin who just decided to drop some charges? But then why did he bring them in the first place? What's going on?
