I had a really old professor in college, and I remember him telling me that talking politics used to be a taboo for professors once upon a time. He used to say professors were there to educate young minds, not to tell them what to think.

When you think about the numbers of suicides, alcoholism, child abuse, domestic abuse, riots, etc, when you think about all of the aspects of that, that were due to the lock downs extending well beyond the 14-days to flatten the curve, it really is fucking criminal.
