My friend had this happen to him last week. He is from NYC but lives on the west coast and voted via absentee over a week ago then got a second ballot in the mail last week. I have a screenshot of his text telling a group of friends about it. He said he reported the error to the elections board.

I just wrote into the campaign to give feedback and suggestions on how it came across. You should too, it can only help them for the next debate.

Values are influenced by sex. For example: Women tend to be more focused on even distribution of resources, this is a good thing when it comes to family, every kid should be fed equally no matter their ability. It does not work as well for nations, where compensation needs to be tied to contribution for the most part.

Whereas men tend to be focused on allocation of resources and merit based compensation.

Of course we are talking about averages here, there are always exceptions to the rule.

The problem is he doesn't need to talk to us, we are decided. He needed to talk to the moderates. I fear this was such a shit show they won't bother watching the rest of the debates. Even my conservative friends thought it was a hot mess.

Honestly the whole thing was super cringy... I hate that word but it's the most accurate one. I hope the next one is more substance. There is so much substance to talk about it' a shame it didn't get more air time.

I think fence sitters were very turned off by both candidates unfortunately.

Consensus from commenters is this is how NY always sets up their ballots... each candidate can be endorsed by multiple parties and so are listed as the candidate of each party. Generally NY'ers say they tally all the votes for a candidate together, rather than by party....

I still think this is the poorest formatting I've ever seen on a ballot and I'm from California. Why not list the candidate once then put all the parties who vouch for them under their name?! Seems like that would be far more intuitive and reduce the dreaded "voter disenfranchisement" democrat are always worried about.

WOW really? Seems so confusing considering there is so much talk about disenfranchisement. I'm from California our ballots are pretty damned straight forward, the candidates are only listed once in a single column by office with the party who vouches for them listed under their name.

TBF the California ballot is WAY easier to understand, the candidates are listed once on a single sheet. I've never seen anything like this before, other commenters are saying Oregon's is similar.

Just seems like the formatting is very confusing and could be set up in a more intuitive way?! Like list the candidate once, and put all the parties who endorse him under his name.

Seems like such a confusing way to set up a ballot, versus listing the candidate once and putting all the parties who endorse them under one check box?!

Of course, it's not ONLY women, it's pushed the hardest by women, that is the point of the quote. Women become the cultural enforcers, it has been true throughout history.

I'm a female hunter, my whole family are conservatives, but to say that the ones pushing the bullying on social media and colleges are not a majority women, is just denying the trend and preventing the culture from correcting a major source of the mind virus.

Ladies...criticism is not inherently misogyny.

Honestly as a woman, the response to this post by women is really discouraging to me, it's the same progressive "how dare you criticize a group" mentality that caused me to leave the left.

If we can't point out that women, especially young ones, tend towards group think and social pressure to conform and are the loudest on social media about it... then what can we point out?

Shall we not point out any tendencies of ANY group?

We may as well go back to reddit.

I'm a Maga woman but also recognize that the general tendency of women to be group oriented and agreeable leads a lot of us to be useless morons when it comes to social/political movements.

We can acknowledge and criticize the feminine tendency to comply with group think without saying women are useless. Criticism is how one corrects bad behavior, should we just be forbidden from pointing out a negative pattern many but not all women display? I personally don't need a safe space like that, I'm not a progressive.

The fact is young girls are pushing these narratives disproportionately hard. That does not mean they are the only ones, that does not mean there are zero men buying the narrative too, but women, especially young ones tend to be the pushers, as the quote points out.

Edit: I will also point out this fact highlights the responsibility of men to be strong stable fathers and leaders and the symptom of a failure of fathers is the corruption of daughters. It's complicated as hell due to divorce laws but the fact those exist does not exempt fathers from their responsibility to teach their daughters morals and protect them from predatory ideologies.

He was recognizing the trends and patterns that lead to the phenomenon we know as socialism. If you read atlas shrugged it has very similar plot lines, because Cultural phenomenons are often caused by similar cultural and economic factors, they may have different names throughout history but the patterns remain similar. For example women tend to be the cause and proponents of hysteria throughout history, largly due to their group approval mentality, see our modern mask Karen. There is an excellent book on this called "the fate of empires" by sir john glubb, it's fairly short I highly recommend it. Here's a free PDF https://www.docdroid.net/5CdrehR/the-fate-of-empires-by-sir-john-glubb-pdf

That makes no sense why would you list people multiple times, it's confusing as hell. Even in CA we only list people once.

I seriously cannot figure this out... like someone approved of this design? It makes zero sense... and look at the judges section, WTH is that?

His business partner was accused if I remember correctly. He was accused of trying to pick up a 17 year old (somewhere around there) when he was in his 20's, not legal but not quite the same as a pedo.

Wait explain this more... so are you saying if the "working families" party get 6% of biden's vote they get on the debates next time? This is the election ballot in NY not a primary ballot.

CatoWasRight 2 points ago +2 / -0

Vote with your feet, vote with your dollars, vote with your.... err vote!

I live in Norcal, word on the street is these may be old primary ballots ordered to be destroyed that they just dumped... Not confirmed yet. Either way it seems if they ARE old ballots they should shred ballots before trashing them!
