Don't worry, we're not going, it's too far gone already. Sadly, I loved Texas 10 years ago.

HAHAHA, It's hard to turn a corrupt ship of 39 million people around. I'm 100% in favor of building a wall around CA and requiring applications and interviews to move to a new state.

DUDE they are the worst! They just sent me a notification saying I owe them $800 for tax year 2016... I seriously made like $28,000 that year. Where the hell did they come up with $800 on someone technically under the poverty line for the state?

It is so odd to watch CA switch from 'the promise land' to 'escape from LA' It's hard to say how the CA emigration will work out, if you look at Austin, Californians ruined it BUT a majority of them moved for jobs and cost of living before this current political upheval. I think the people fleeing now are more political refugees who tend to be more classically liberal or conservative so I think they will be a positive influence. Now there are some that are simply trying to take advantage of taxes, I have a friend who thinks he is going to sell his company next year so he "moved to florida" to save on capital gains tax... he claims to be a socialist but moves to avoid taxes...such a fraud. BUT as soon as he gets his payday he will probably move back to a liberal state so I don't think I'd count him as a true emigrant.

Possibly, but I was not alive then so am not as informed on that. I just know the state was pretty good in the 90's and 00's then it took a hard left, literally.

I mean the fact that parts of orange country went blue after prop 14 tells me something.

The entire west coast is getting ruined, it's so sad, the environment here is so beautiful.

Thank you! I'd never move to NYC anyways, I was fun to visit back in the day but dayum New Yorkers are high strung!

My husband was telling me about this, they also want to be able to audit back 10 years! It's so absurd.

Luckily all of our businesses are out of state, we just have Nexus here because we manufacture in the state. So hopefully that helps us cut ties.

The South. We looked at Idaho, Montana and SD but the cold is a big deterrent, we're both from warm areas so even nor cals mild winter was enough for us lol

They say California is 10 years ahead... If so the future looks dim. We have to work really hard to have good optics as conservatives so normies come to our side.

The amount of elitists here is shocking really. Ever since the 2016 election SO MANY people I thought were normal 'creative' people have revealed themselves as horrendous elitists. I was having a political discussion with a lefty friend (who is very open to discussion I give him credit) but he literally told me, people who don't communicate in a 'conscious way' aka lead with feelings and speak in a feminine manner, don't deserve to have an opinion. As a daughter of a blue collar MAN I was shocked, my dad was so much more aware of the way the world works than my sheltered tech industry friend I could not even comprehend him thinking 'regular' people don't deserve an opinion because they speak bruskly!

But it did show me why they hate Trump although he has enacted many things they agree with (prison reform, opportunity zones) it's simply because he sounds "mean" to them!

They are basically toddlers with too much power.

Thank you, this is exactly the route to take. People remember MLK like a hero not the black panthers.

MO is correct. You have to see this from a normie POV, they are like scared sheep, ANY aggression will scare them, whether it's in their favor or not. They cannot tell sheep dogs from wolves right now. So our best bet is to let them see the wolves destroy enough that they then ASK for the sheep dog to come in and the can tell the difference between the two. Remember MOST normies are far less aware of the violence that is happening than you are, the media hides it and they don't look for it. Unfortunately it has to get worse so more normie people are actually effected.

Your frustration is justified, it's just premature to take action.

I live in a DEEP Blue area, something like 70% of registered voters are democrat. I've seen maybe 5 Biden signs and 3 bumper stickers... A HELL OF A LOT of BLM and "believe science" signs though. So they will probably begrudgingly vote Biden anyway but it's nice not to see them all rabid for a fraud.

Florida is the new cultural hot spot, I call it in 5 years all the cool new-right people are going to want to live in Florida.

YES THIS.

I pray that the proud boys DON'T go to Portland, it's going to be a huge hit to the right's PR. That is what matters right now before the election. The normies want normalcy, we need to let the left show them that THEY are the chaos not the right.

If the Proud Boys show up the left will do EVERYTHING in their power to provoke a proudboy becasue ANYTHING a PB does can be spun as negative for the right... ANYTHING. Even if it's a lie it will serve the immediate needs of the media to scare the shit out of normies.

At the moment the normies still operate under the mythology that the left is kind and the right is mean, we can't reinforce this meme right now. They need to see for their own eyes the left's secret sins.

Guys seriously my super liberal family are FINALLY starting to wake up to the crazy left, not due to me reasoning with them, not due to any deeds of the right, they are waking up due to the INSANE RIOTS.

We are not in a physical war at the moment, we are in a war for the hearts and minds of the normies. WE CAN'T LOOK AGGRESSIVE TO THEM.... yet. They don't think they need protection, you have to realize 90% of people are NOT AS TUNED INTO WHAT IS GOING ON AS YOU, to them life is generally normal except orange man might be bad... they need more time for it to hit 'close to home' then they will beg for help.

THAT is when to take action NOT NOW.

I'd love if the first openly gay president is a republican... i won't vote for him based only on him being gay obvi but the irony would be so so sweet.

Every teen should be required to read Atlas Shrugged. Ayn Rand was a kook but her book wonderfully illustrates how an industrial nation turns to shit through "good intentions"
