Southland mall has you put your printed ballot (if you go the electronic route at the booth) into a huge blue confidential bag with a slit. The printed ballot has a huge qr code on the front. What it also has is all of your choices below it.
I worry whoever scans the code to count the vote can easily overlook scanning it because they can see plain as day who you chose directly under the code.
We need to eliminate these middle-man scanners. It makes no sense for something submitted electronically to have to be rescanned by a human being.

I've also thought about that; I have the capital to get a really nice house elsewhere. My line of work, however (thankfully not tech), is booming in this area and leaves me in demand. The corporate ladder is all but mine for the taking here.

Take solace with my comment; last year was the end of a 10 year relationship I had with a liberal (even socialist) significant other. I don't know if you've ever had a long term relationship like this break, but you're definitely going to go through hell and back with logical arguments, bitterness, and what you thought your partner was.
But you are so, so so so so so going to be better in time. You're going to eventually meet someone who can think for herself, discuss, and debate -- but also respect your thoughts and you hers.
