We users don't make the site revenue on the_donald. It is very likely our user activity spent outside the_donald is minimum at best. Thus, if they think we are the worst the site has to offer, forcing us out slowly by placing all this crap on us really doesn't harm their revenue stream.

So they want us gone to get rid of a 'problem' with the site. Us abandoning ship and closing the dom down plays right into their hands.
