I agree. The elites at the time wanted to leave the union and named "slavery" as their economic workhorse because they were being crushed by the industrial North and taxes from the government, but the truth is 1or 2% actually even owned slaves, of those owners most of whom were European, black, or Indians (who had slaves of all colors). I think people forget about how information traveled back then versus now and can't differentiate the two. Think about it , you're a poor farmer who may or may not even be able to read and all of a sudden a large group of men has been seen looting burning and fighting the people in your area. What would you do? I honestly feel like majority of the people at the time had no idea what it was actually over and were merely fighting to defend their homes against this northern enemy as it was called.

There's still a great amount of info that could be pulled from this even if they "wipe it", at this point we just need a handful of those voting machines taken in custody. Let's be real, they're using the lowest common denominator level of people to wipe these machines which is effectively a restore option and most likely not a true wipe. If you've ever had to recover data from a hard drive you know that data always exists. You'd need to zero out the drive or even manually delete each cylinder of the drive depending on the type to completely remove all traces of data. Digital forensics is big big business and they're good at it. And I'd take the bet that our Navy intelligence has some of the best.
