I was going to dump FB as I had done with Twitter. Then I found out that I actually have been reaching and influencing people, as well as giving a lot of support to pedes that have been feeling overwhelmed.

If it weren't for that, it'd be gone in my case.

This reflects the fundamental mistake being consistently made. Trump did not create a movement. The movement created President Trump. We don't worship him, we return the honor and respect that he has given us.

I'm actually glad this is finally getting the proper attention. I've been saying since the late 1990s that where federal offices are concerned for a Republican to win the election he has to win the actual vote outside the margin of error. John Fund has been writing about this problem for at least 20 years now.

This has been just, "The way it is," inside the Beltway for decades. You don't call it out, you don't make an issue of it, you accept it for how things work.

One of the great things GEOTUS will be remembered for, I hope, is being one of the first office holders to call it out.

The scary thing is that while it's widespread in the sense that it's systemic, the truth is it's not massive in absolute scale. It is disturbing as to how little it takes to actually change the result of an election. Even a presidential election only requires a handful of precincts - sometimes counties - to shift the result. To make it worse, once the votes are in the system it is almost impossible to get them out.

It may never be a solution, but sometimes it is the only answer. Especially, when someone else is irrevocably determined to bring violence to you.

Amen to that. This is actually something that has been happening over the last 10 years of the TEA Party's existence. We've all made "Yuge!" progress, but there's still a good deal of work to be done; especially in the Senate.

Nice job. Just a couple of thoughts...

  1. As some others have noted, the music is a bit too loud for the dialogue. Speaking as someone who is a sound engineer on the side, I understand where it comes from. There's a recent trend in a lot of popular music for the vocals to be a bit more "embedded" in the mix. However, in something like this, it reduces the intelligability of the voices and also draws attention away from both video and voice and makes the music more of the focus. You could try, maybe, a 3-6 dB cut in music levels overall, and a slight boost in the voice tack EQ around 2 or 4 KHz. You'll have to play around to find just where the sweet spot is. You'll know it when the voices suddenly "pop" out. :-)

  2. You might want to trim down just a bit on the Epstein material. Or better still, do a bit more to tie it in stronger to the overall theme. There is a shift from Epstein to the sedition, which is fine, but there needs to be something that makes a stronger tie to the relationship. Maybe even consider breaking it into two shorter videos. The content is strong enough that you could possibly have a part 1 and part 2 "Today's Progressive Democratic Party" at around 5 min. each and have an even more impactful message.

Overall, a great job. If you do make any revisions, please post it. This is really good quality work!

I would beg to disagree. I think they are better off being called seditionist organizations, though it is blatantly true that they use terror tactics. However, their root cause objective is sedition and overthrow of the American government.

Too many of these people in other countries have heard about the American First Amendment and assume that it applies to them. It may be a natural right, but that doesn't mean their governments actually recognize it. I some Western European countries, keep in mind that Lese Majeste is even still a crime.

My question is how are you avoiding any copyright infringement issues? The similarity to reddit seems to put you at risk. Don't want that to happen.

Sorry for the wall of text. But I've been looking into this.

Section 2 of their TOS states:

  1. Your Use of the Services

Reddit grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable, limited license to use and access the Services solely as permitted by these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you by these Terms.

Except as permitted through the Services or as otherwise permitted by us in writing, your license does not include the right to:

  • license, sell, transfer, assign, distribute, host, or otherwise commercially exploit the Services or Content;

  • modify, prepare derivative works of, disassemble, decompile, or reverse engineer any part of the Services or Content; or

  • access the Services or Content in order to build a similar or competitive website, product, or service, except as permitted under the Reddit API Terms of Use.

Then in section 16 it states: 16. Termination ... The following sections will survive any termination of these Terms or of your Accounts: 4 (Your Content), 6 (Things You Cannot Do), 10 (Indemnity), 11 (Disclaimers), 12 (Limitation of Liability), 13 (Governing Law and Venue), 16 (Termination), and 17 (Miscellaneous).

On the other hand, at one time the Reddit codebase was open source. It's not any longer, though my understanding is that it's not so much the pulled it from distribution, but updates were stopped and the last update was what is still allowed as open source. I.e., it remains available in the state of the last update.

If you go to the github archive and check the last version license you find in section 6.2 Effect of New Versions.

>Once Covered Code has been published under a particular version of the License, You may always continue to use it under the terms of that version. You may also choose to use such Covered Code under the terms of any subsequent version of the License published by reddit. No one other than reddit has the right to modify the terms applicable to Covered Code created under this License.

So if this site is a fork or derivative of the last open source version of reddit, then it should be ok. That, however, doesn't mean that they can't try and sue if they think our pedes don't have the stomach or finances for a legal battle.
