I do like that as well. It reboots the movie without erasing the original. They exist side by side in parallel universes. It would have been sick if they somehow had to work with their counterparts from the original timeline.
The reboot movie is a fun watch but it didn't feel like Trek. It felt more like Star Wars, and Star Wars isn't a bad thing but Trrk was always about using your brain to solve a problem rather then just blowing it to shit. The Orville does a decent job of feeling like Star Trek as well.
We need to start pushing for real changes in our election process. One Trump seals the deal with the electorate or through the courts we can't forget this disaster of an election.
Working polling stations and counting votes shouldn't be a volunteer service. It should be more like jury duty where Americans are called upon to do their mandatory civic duty.
Those called upon should go through an elimination process where they weed out those who are incompetent or may have biases that will effect the count. Every station should have a camera that watches everyone working with ballots, maybe something like artist use to stream themselves drawing or painting.
They should also have poll watching representatives from every party with a leg in the race keeping an eye on those counting. May be a dumb idea but this whole thing is an absolute mess.
Down with the oathbreakers! Fuck those who get paid to keep Americans from making a living!
