You can read all about it in the 6000 page bill, but here's a nice summary - 30K fine for each meme "up to $30,000 in fines for engaging in everyday activity such as downloading an image and re-uploading it… [or] sharing memes." https://dailysoundandfury.com/this-is-atrocious-congress-crams-language-to-criminalize-online-streaming-meme-sharing-into-5500-page-omnibus-bill/

As other Pedes noted: Welcome to the real world. This has been going on for decades in every bill. Don't let it get to you - Keep focused on what matters: January 6th. Lose this battle in order to win the war.

To be fair, It is not just foreign governments, Local mega donors get some loving as well. Such as Tax breaks for having a pony https://thedonald.win/p/11R4zSDUhP/stimulus-bill-includes-tax-break/c/

Jorge also stacked the College of Cardinals recently. (Reminds you of anything? Stacking the courts? Commies think alike!)

It basically insured his legacy of heresy.

Correct. And multiple priests and parishes still call out Benedict during the Confessions of Faith.

A fellow Pede provided a confirmation from the Vatican: https://www.vaticannews.va/en/vatican-city/news/2020-12/vatican-cdf-note-covid-vaccine-morality-abortion.html

On an unrelated note: I don't know if your username is related to "THE" Vox (Vox Day), Whom frequents this site, But I am a fan of Day's work and insightful commentary.

Purism is not a mainstream solution I wanted to get into, But you are right.

I do have a couple of disclaimers about them though: 1) They do not make the hardware themselves, they just buy off the shelf SoC, which can be bugged. Apple's vertical integration mitigates that risk. 2) Thier "Made in the USA" model is false advertising that rubs me the wrong way: only the logic board is made in the USA. A foreign agent can still own your device by compromising the other hardware components.

This inspired me to write this beginner's guide for secure comms https://thedonald.win/p/11R4zLOIYz/

It is still Big Tech for your communication, and not truly safe, but this is the best I can propose that's readily available and user friendly.

Tech Pede here: Nothing that is user-friendly and doesn't require jumping through ridiculous hoops is safe. Plan Accordingly.

This is not the forum to start rambling about Backdoors that can be built into the Hardware you are currently using, Software you cannot inspect, or even deeper into that rabbit hole with this Turing Award winning essay Reflections on Trusting Trust. If you want an easy to follow beginner's article, here's the Software/Apps Edward Snowden Used to Evade the NSA

Mumble is encrypted, But, The server administrator has your private key. Meaning they can decrypt all traffic / record everything. Glowies would love to build and host a Mumble server for you. Even if you have an admin that you trust, a court order might force them to hand over the keys.

I would say lets set up our own service, just like TDW replaced reddit. My personal preference is something from the grounds up based on Jabber/XMPP protocol. Other alternatives include Mattermost or Elemental/Matrix based solutions. In all cases: It should be our own self-hosted server and/or decentralized network. The proposals above are just open-source software that can be used as part of "pede chat"
