Same. I hate crowds but I'd brave it just to make a show of support. Have to settle for sending online support.

And all election workers' names a part of public record. And they should be called and appointed like jury duty.

Slavery in Israel was for a period of time to repay a debt, or as a societal position given to war captives and foreign sojourners. By law, all slaves were to be freed every seven years. If one didn't want to go, the could voluntarily choose to remain a slave by piercing their ear.

I'm no historian so I can't confirm this, but I've read or seen from multiple sources the assertion that slaves were usually paid in Israel as well as in many other ancient, civilized societies.

So not exactly the same thing as unending, involuntary servitude under the threat of torture, imprisonment, retribution to loved ones, or death.

And I care about modern slaves. Many people do and make conscious daily choices to not only decrease their own world slavery impact, but also actively speak out the truth and fund programs that rescue and counsel such slaves.

Being born into freedom is a responsibility to aid those who were not.

They tell you this so they can now start openly pushing depopulation efforts. They'll pretend it's "voluntary" or "encouraged", but it won't be.

Weren't they just making a big deal about only an incoming administration voting on a supreme court judge replacement? What about "courtesy" and "democracy" for the incoming Congress?

Two-faced tyrants.

He's widely suspected of being Autistic, so I wouldn't necessarily read his body language the same way as you would a nuerotypical. It could mean something. It probably doesn't.

And for the personal attacks against Trump, and his family, and conservative voters. Apologize for being rigid-minded, willfully ignorant, self-righteous bigots and resolve to actively seek out and respect opinions you disagree with.

Then reparations. For the next 4 years, resolve to publically say a positive, true thing about Trump and conservatives without adding a "but" or any other thing to the statement.

Yes. Public officials need to be reminded that they are public servants. They don't get to hide from the public behind answering machines, assistants and spokespersons, statements, and social media copypasta.

Elected officials and their near cohorts are probably too well protected to lean on. A better strategy might be to make the point with the midrange underlings that have to enforce this nonsense. Maybe managers and directors of water and power plants should lose services at their homes.

I don't know much about NR, but this looks to me like a blue collar dad seeing his kid off to college. The youth is expectantly looking over the bent figure of the dad. Very symbolic.

I have a family member who's into railroad history. I started making Harvey House style sweet potatoes for him. They're very easy and yummy.

"So the verdict came back guilty. The trial wasn't fair and the jury was rigged. But let's come together and procede with the hanging anyway. An appeal or a plea for a pardon is just too much hassle."

We all need to vent sometimes. Being real can be embarrassing, but it's also very freeing. No man is an island, right?

Messy buns aren't only for wiry hair types. They never have been.

Hairstyles cannot and do not belong to a subculture. They belong to the culture at large and to any individual who wants to wear them. That's the nature of self expression and a participatory culture.

The problem with many afro harpies is that they grew up not knowing many people outside their genetic group. So they assign appropriation accusations to people who have their own cultural and historical expression. Willful ignorance really.

All gifts have a flip side. We don't get to choose which ones we get. All we can do is play on the right team and use it for good.

My 90 year old, health compromised grandparents are begging for visits. They aren't afraid of Covid. Their doctors have been telling them they are dying with this or that for 30 years. They're done with people being hysterical on their behalf.

Let people decide for themselves what level of risk they can tolerate.

Being spiritually sensitive is a great gift. You are not wrong. You are perceiving what our physical reality tries to hide.

As a person of faith, it gives me great comfort to rebuke such things in Jesus' name. And remember, evil does not win, God does.

I thought she was in solitary for her protection? Guess distancing doesn't work.

I like her so much. She's a more authentic and less annoying Sarah Palin type.

I bucked the modern trend too and had my kids young. I'm getting near the end of the most time intense part of parenting and I still have half my life left to live with lots of experience and confidence in who I am and what I believe.

It's nice to see successful women who followed the path I did. IMO, it's the optimal path biologically, emotionally, and societally.

Don't forget the heavyweight, elbow length gloves. Be sure to carry a personal spray bottle of germ fighting spray and mist the air as you walk through rooms. Whip out your personal tub of lysol wipes and clean everything before using it. Pull out a timer and observe people's hand washing times. Carry an extending 6' measurer and enforce distancing. Bring one way arrow signs and tape them up throughout the house. Take a role of caution tape and mark off seats in every room.

Now I almost wish I was going to or hosting such an event so I could troll them this badly.

That's horrible! I'm so sorry for your losses this year.

Prayers said for you and your dad.

Is there any way we can help out with your business? Even Trump had to come back from some deep losses. If you have a skill and an entrepreneurial spirit, you have what it takes to rebound when things start coming back.

And I know it's cheesy but I'm thinking of It's a Wonderful Life, when the climax proves that no man is poor who has friends. Tell people what you need and be specific. You will probably be surprised at how people will step up for you.
