Watch money. Money is the barometer of a society's virtue. When you see that trading is done, not by consent but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors -* when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you* - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed. Money is so noble a medium that it does not compete with guns and it does not make terms with brutality. It will not permit a country to survive as half-property, half-loot.

"Whenever destroyers appear among men, they start by destroying money, for money is men's protection and the base of a moral existence..."

I was literally playing it while treating patients.

If this is true then I feel really bad for your patients.

My daughter grew up wanting to be in the FBI. She is in her early 20s and still mentions it from time to time. I discourage it at this point.

Theoretically, no. They aren't even supposed to take political affiliation into consideration in the hiring process. Ideologically, the way things have been in DC and with the FBI the last few years I feel like they will figure out his political affiliations and decide not to hire him but they won't tell him that's why. It will be some other thing he didn't meet the qualifications on.

well, the whole risk of being raped traveling with those groups is quite the turnoff as well. I mean, sleeping in a Holiday Inn for a few nights isn't worth it. Sleeping in a Trump hotel wouldn't be worth it either now that I really give it some thought.

Very good. Just need to add in something about some secrets that are kept for purposes of National Security.

Ok, so this is going to sound... retarded but when I read they were going to put the illegals crossing the border up in hotels I briefly contemplated using my airline credit to fly down to Mexico, then come back up across the border claiming to be Mexican (I can pass as Mexican easy-well I wouldn't have an accent so I would just have to act like I don't understand anything being said so I won't have to speak) and then be put up in a hotel somewhere for a while. Like a little vacay from my current every day life.

Then I realized this was sheer madness and got a hold of myself.

Thing is, Boulder is like Chicago. It's not MAGA country and the likelihood of being attacked by a MAGA person in Boulder is zero.

I'm interested in seeing if Trump is able to keep a platform online, tbh. Torba has been through hell keeping Gab online. I don't know if Trump's people realize how bad it really is but they will find out.

I think Kushner told him to try to buy Gab and if he couldn't get Gab then not to go there. He apparently also made an offer to Parler.

I don't think Team Trump realizes how difficult it is going to be for them to get a host, stay online, not get constantly booted from one host to another.

Silicon Valley hates Trump. They will do everything in their power to remove anything controlled by him or in his name and prevent it from becoming relevant.

It was a bad idea, IMO. Gab is already established and has gone through hell and back to stay online. I don't blame Torba for not wanting to give equity in this company that he has poured blood, sweat and tears into.

He is also very much determined to keep Gab as a free speech platform. That includes all speech that is legal in the USA. I think he was concerned about rules being implemented that would hinder free speech and he's not going to let that happen.

No I don't hate javanka at all. I have read quite a few items that make me question the advice he gave Trump in general but I also give him credit for helping negotiate the historic peace deals in the ME.

Yes, I do fear the influence of kids that may not always have all the information they need to make informed, wise decisions or give advice. I don't begrudge Trump for putting his trust in his family though as it appears there were very few other people he could trust.

Why waste time *concerned" about "petty" things outside of your control? Aren't each of you slammed with to dos that are under your control right now? Vital things? 2) reacting to gossipy, self interested "sources" in current year?

Because I'm a free person that can choose what to do with my time. I read an interesting article, I shared it. That's what we do here. It's better than forever posting about the Harry/Meghan debacle which truly has nothing to do with the US yet people posted about them endlessly after the Oprah interview. I didn't go around chastising them for talking about it.

She is always with him. She is the one making the decisions. She's also babysitting him. He's just a figurehead at this point. His signature is required because he's POTUS but she's calling the shots.

If I was his mom I would have no problem telling him where to stick it. One day he will want grammy to babysit but guess what. She isn't going to and it's his fault.

and toilet paper. I'm telling you, people may think it's stupid but toilet paper will be gone. I mean, I guess we could all start using wash cloths to clean ourselves but TP can be stored forever, will always be needed and can be used for bargaining trades.

I live in an apartment. I'm going to start tomatoes and potatoes in big pots on my patio. Those can both be canned. I grow herbs indoors.

Already have a small stock of dried food items like powdered milk and some other things I can't think of right now.

I watched an interview with her where she said ya know, I had a great life. I didn't have to do this. I saw what was happening to my country and decided I had to do something though. She's another one that's not bought and paid for. She went to DC to take care of her constituents. They elected the right person.

She and her husband have a very successful construction business. I think Trump inspired many like her. He's going to find them and fund them now.
