As for the assault on the Temple of Democracy... the title is a bit overblown. More like Parliament of Whores... DC is like the Jerusalem sacred temple where the moneychangers kept busy. Read the history of moneychangers in Christ's time. The currency of Rome had idols oictured on it and it was unclean so not allowed in the temple, but the temple offerings had to be purchased with local coins. Hence the middleman. Who was taking his own cut. Note also the pharisees who made accusations against Christ trying to trap him on whether it was lawful to pay taxes.
