Fer God's sake, don't ya know that's what feckin' potatoes were created for? All the little Irish pedes can testify you can make a meal go nine ways with some potatoes thrown in. But first say the blessing. Bless us, oh Lord, and these thy gifts...

we only got the cheese you unwrapped from the plastic. If indeed it was cheese. But it was good with onions, mayo and salt and pepper on white bread.

My sister ruined Ramen for me. She said flour, water and salt is what goes in playdoh and she doesn't eat playdoh.

Braunschweiger on rye with butter and some lettuce. I also loved peanut butter and butter sandwiches. And mom taught me the joy of peanut butter, lettuce, mayo on toast sandwiches.

I travel through Chinatown in DC for my commute and last December I was horribly sick for over 10 days. I kept telling people I felt like I was drowning, dry cough that couldn't expectorate. I said it was like no cold I had ever had in my life. No fever. A little GI stuff, but just shortness of breath. Couldn't work, even from my laptop in bed I was coughing so much. Unproductive cough. I treated it with bourbon toddies, orange juice, tortilla soup, robitussin, Cold-eeze. Vitamin D. I was short of breath for weeks and weeks afterward. Never went to doctor because I have to be at death's door to do that. But there were some times at 2 am I thought of driving myself to the ER. It was that bad. But on blood tests for donating blood, i come across as COVID negative. Go figure.

One of my pede offspring was travelling through a state recently with all the lawns decorated like that and the rebel flag on most of them. She wants to move there now. She is recruiting family members to resettle there. (For the record, we have ancestors who were the first European settlers in that state. I am not averse to returning to where my parents grew up.)

Hell, you just have to have once lived in Texas and meet someone else who was from there and you are buddies. I know how this Texas thing works.

I have long maintained that every American should live at least one year of their life in Texas. You'd never settle for less when you go back to another state. I consider myself joint citizen of Texas and Virginia (Which also got cheated Election night again as always. Crooks)

If SCOTUS Says the Republic no longer exists, Texas invokes its Constitutional secession rights in 3...2....1....

What makes a great movie? (Surprise endings... "bad guys" that turn out to be good guys. Plot twists....)

I think Q did it to keep the angry peasants with pitchforks and lanterns from getting in the way and helping too much. The phrase "We are in control" has been a godsend the last 3 years. Though it's been shaky to hold onto.
