I became a U.S. citizen in 2002, and literally the first thing I did was register as a Republican. Seriously, an elections volunteer approached me the moment I left the courtroom. Since then I've never missed an election, primary or general. Check the records. In fact, I've never failed to vote for a single office. And I've voted exclusively for Republican candidates.

If you had told me a year ago that I wouldn't watch a single live sport, I would've said you were crazy.

I've tried. But when I turn on a football game and see the coaches, the officials, the cameraman all alone in the stands above the end zone, even the broadcasters all wearing masks while the players are sweating and breathing on each other, the stupidity is just too much.

And I realized I don't miss it a bit. I've spent more time outside, volunteering, reading, doing hobbies. I realized that watching other people play a game can be kind of pathetic.
