Even the good ones are lazy at best.

You graduate after 12+ years of school, you can prepare to do anything you want, anywhere you want. It takes a certain kind of person to have unlimited choices and decide to work...at school.

As GEOTUS said to Don Jr. after the official announcement of candidacy: "Now we find out who our real friends are."

Jesus Christ. I assumed that a "criminal justice reform advocate" who used to be a prisoner would have served time for, I don't know, non-violent drug dealing or something. This woman is a goddamned psychopath.

Either way, the DNC said yeah, let's give this broad some air time. It's like they want GEOTUS to win.

How fucking hard would it have been to just sell tires and STFU?

In a supermarket parking lot the other day I almost hit a jaywalker who was wearing a mask.

If that's not the perfect encapsulation of our society - a woman taking precautions over the zero chance of being infected in a parking lot, while ignoring the very real threat of the 5000-pound truck heading toward her - I don't know what does.

Imagine being so stupid as to believe that 1 out of every 10 people on your block, in your neighborhood, in the nation had died of the bug. That's the kind of thing that you'd think people would notice.

I cannot believe how long Portland has been effectively condoning this shit. That mayor is the most useless politician I've ever seen. The governor isn't far behind. They're letting a major city burn because doing otherwise runs the risk of Trump stopping it and getting credit for ir.

Law-abiding citizens have to quarantine.

Prisoners, who are already sequestered by definition, get to...what's the word? Oh yeah, spread into the community.

Welcome to Hawaii.

That was after 2 days. It's been 81 in Portland so far.

Serious question for Oregon pedes: So is Portland just normal during the day, people walking their dogs and stuff, and then as night descends the next round of urban warfare begins? 70 days in a row?

Yeah, but that useless piece of crap Sisolak had already shut the casinos down for 3 months. Some of them have yet to reopen.

Casino executives don't like losing money, as a rule. They got on board with this the moment he commanded it. Which means they're getting something in return. I don't know what. The casinos could have said, "Hey asshole, you need us a lot worse than we need you. You're going to be gone in 2 or 6 years. We're here forever. Figure it out." And yet they didn't. We're being shielded from something.

I don't know about other denominations, but the Catholic bishop of Las Vegas is as useless a puss as the guy in Rome: https://dioceseoflasvegas.org/MasterPageCssImage/BackupPage/Uploads/COVID-19/2020%200630%20Extension%20of%20Dispensation%20from%20the%20Obligation%20of%20Mass%20ENGLISH.PDF

He's the exact opposite of Matt Dumba, a non-American who kneeled for The Star-Spangled Banner then rose for O Canada.

Usain Bolt is amazing. Imagine having proof that you're not just the greatest in the world at something, but the greatest who ever lived.

This reminds me of the Ask Reddit thread with the serious tag where OP asked about people who'd had personal interactions with GEOTUS and they shut the thread down because every single response said he was great in person.

What difference does this make, practically speaking? Heller vs. D.C. was years ago and you still can't carry a gun in Washington.

I love how GEOTUS is responsible for 165,000 deaths. So every head of state is responsible for all the deaths in their country? I guess if Hillary were president we'd have 0 deaths.

Is this even a smart thing to say politically? I’d think the vast majority of Americans wouldn’t want to hear it.

If Twitter were America, Hillary would've won the Electoral College 536-2.

"you're protecting OTHERS by wearing a mask."

Then shouldn't everyone who wears masks be wearing them inside out?

Chiliad5 10 points ago +10 / -0

I'm going to get downvoted for even asking the question, but why isn't GEOTUS pushing back harder against this? He wore a mask at a hospital but that was it. He needs to say...well, basically what you said. It would mean a lot more coming from him.

Coulter's Law: "The longer it takes the news media to identify a mass shooter in the United States, the less likely it is to be a white male."

Read the story (which is riddled with grammar mistakes, but whatever.) They're cutting the budget by less than 1%.

Don't get me wrong, a city that takes its marching orders from Black Lives Matter is doomed to become a shithole, but the headline makes it sound like the cops will have to hold bake sales to afford uniforms and nightsticks. Ironically, in this context "defund" is as much of a lie as "Black Lives Matter".
