I know multiple pilots and they have certain traits that make them good pilots. They are super meticulous people, confident and very intelligent. It’s hard to describe but those things are readily apparent to me and make for a good pilot. Many people probably have those traits and can be a decent pilot in good weather.
Then there are the traits you cannot see, those traits are what Sully had. Those traits are where MEN dominate and always will. It’s where you as a man have a strong fortitude and can make a life or death decision in seconds and carry out the tasks under pressure without crying or freaking out. Your average gay dude doesn’t have that. Sorry. And the mental illness baggage that most of these folks have is another frightening layer.
