How about we stop no-knock warrants? It blows me away that any magistrate would sign off on a no-knock warrant unless the police are investigating something more serious than drugs.
This policy has cost the lives of too many people—both LEO and civilian.
I went to law school with a girl from the West Coast who was very naive, shallowly passionate about injustice, and had it out for the man mentality. Not too bright, weird, and definitely had no aspirations of getting a real job.
I felt bad for her and took her under my wing. I'm just waiting to see her picture amongst these other LARPS.
Sad.
To be truly unbiased, police do need some accountability and I think qualified immunity should either be very narrowly tailored or changed. LEO has a dangerous job, obviously, and I respect the hell out of local police officers. But there needs to be some accountability for the bad actors, and qualified immunity incentivizes bad behavior.
I get it that he's a "moderator" but damn he's disrespectful to the president.
