Agreed on parts though. I build my desktops and it kills me that my CPU, MoBo, RAM, and all my drives are made overseas. The CPUs are diffused in the USA but then sent to Asia to be assembled.

They’ve been cucked for ages. They tried to issue a DMCA on Voat a few years ago, which has a fraction of users compared to anyone, since someone else had a username similar to them and they were some crybabies about it. This is nothing new.

The worst part is it only invests in US Treasury Notes, which have an atrocious rate of return. If SS could invest in the US Stock Market and US Bond Market, it would make such insane returns that it would never go solvent. I’m for eliminating SS but this would be a good step too.

Agreed. We really need a .win for made in USA products. I’ve been on a crusade for years replacing everything I can with American made items and it’s always a hassle researching product origins. We need a consolidated database. As a PC enthusiast it’s always depressing knowing everything I buy is either from China or Taiwan. We need to bring it back here.

Librem 5 USA is a mostly USA-made smartphone from a company called Purism. The hardware specs are a little dated for a $2,000 phone but their claims on security and privacy are promising.
