Trans fats were controversial and eventually banned in the early 2010s cause well they actually are quite bad for you health in any quantity. Saturated fats are what the article op posted is referring to and yes that would be what was controversial in the 70s, which was mostly unwarranted as saturated fats are not the most heathy thing in large quantities but if you have a balanced diet and dont just eat butter basted ribeyes steaks daily wont hurt you. In fact saturated fats being seen as an evil caused margarine and shortening to be marketed as healthier alternatives. Only problem is those products up until trans fats were banned were made by partial hydrogenation which made them loaded with trans fats.

Trans fats are actually bad. Trans fats are created when processing oils in most cases and are not natural in large quantities. Pretty sure crisco and other manufactures would love to not have had to update their entire manufacturing system seeing as outlawing trans fats only hurts them and nobody else. Now saturated fats, which you probably are meaning to say, are healthier although still not amazing for you in extreme quantities. Saturated fats are found in the flavorful fats found in meat, lard, and butter not trans fats.

Rinos arent really right or left leaning. They lean the way of least controversy and what gives them the most power. The thing is democrats hold culural, media, and social, to an extent, hegemony right now so more often than not they lean towards them more than their own party.

No way, it will be bad but I cannot believe it will be worse. That was deep into coronavirus lockdown people were(and still are to a lesser degree) on edge.

Well the firehouse is a special case. The way most people treat lightbulbs an incandescent lightbulb would not normally last nearly that long. Nowadays lightbulb planned obsolescence isnt really a thing anymore with led bulbs existing but it definitely was in the mid 20th century.

Its the media control, and now also social media control. Any pushback will be immediately be panned or banned by them(see learn to code on twitter for a good example where only one narrative is pushed and when its pushed back on the same way it gets banned). Almost noone will on the other side will get the meaning behind it and will become another REE RACIST, OR REE PROBLAMATIC symbol like "its okay to be white" or the ok hand sign. Even still attempts like this are great and are the pushback we need to at least try to gain back cultural control.

He is Mr Potato head, the products didnt change only the general brand name and Logo for all products in the series. Mr Potato Head are ultimately dolls and dolls appeal more to girls than boys. I think the change is smart since it probably will result in better appeal overall and more sales for the female potato head.

Potato head should be removed. They never changed the actual product and just change the branding to the name "Potato Head", which yes some may disagree with but I would agree its a good business decision. It was never some sort of woke statement and it was the AP framing it with the headline "a mister no more" to make people think that at first glance.

Mitch, Graham, and Haley just care about power and influence. They'll flip flop into whatever puts them in the best position. At least Romney, even if he is trash, is somewhat solid on his position as a rino and doesnt try to hide it.

There is no reason at all for him to back him. Hes just been reelected and probably wont run again in 6 years. Hes gonna spend the next 6 years doing all he can to hold on to what little power he and the gop establishment have.

Looks like the twitter post is citing a NY dem congressmen from an interview so it legit, although it all matters if the view of the congressmen is true.

I dont think it is either. I just think Trump cannot commit since 4 years is a long time and a lot can change. Also you really think Biden will run again, I mean we will see but I dont think they even trying to hide that Biden probably will be one term.

I think he was very honest with "youll see what happens". Trump is getting old and others might start to rise. He cannot really gauge the situation that he will be in 2 years. If he feels like he cannot handle it(which I doubt he has so much energy) or if there is a true successor I think he will not run. What I am sure of from the interview is that hes staying in the public eye which is the best hopium we can have.

Didnt they just switch away from their more twitter like moderation policy to a allowing anything thats legal policy? What was removed?

Pretty sure vermont was the only state that had constitutional carry for the longest time. All these states only in the past few decades adopted it.

Nah math is not science. Math is the language of logic and problems people created. The most pure of science is arguably physics(and for natural sciences it certainly is).

Actually I have to say ousting the CEO was only a good thing. He was firmly against a free platform and wanted something closer to twitter regulation without the bias. With the new site coming up they changed their policy to full on post whatever you want as long as it is legal(with a few acceptable caveats that gab also has). Ive never been a fan of parler cause of this stance they had before, but honestly I dont mind them now. Now gab of course it still what I mainly support and use, cannot beat that grassroots uncompromised project they got.

The rate at it is mined though goes down, so its over 100 yrs until it will actual being mined, unless of course people stop seeing it as worth it. But the actual electricity will not stop being used even then since something needs to confirm transactions.

I wouldnt call this breaking. Its just the personal opinions of someone. Ultimately meaningless but its a interesting look into the private opinion of a republican out of DC.
