A guest on Newsmax today said that on average, in past elections 1 out of 5 mail in ballots are thrown out. This year none are being contested.
They probably just went around and gathered up all the unused ballots, that is what the stop was for. A better option would be to request to see the unused ballots from each polling location but by tomorrow they will probably be recycled. Not sure if they track how many ballots are sent to each location and how many are used but that would be common sense
