I agree with you, but if the 15% statistic is true, the lack of activity is outpacing the additional deaths you correctly cite. My point (which I may have failed to make) was that this "headline" was really not that big of a story, lots of variables. I totally agree with your post.

I was a 53 year old airline captain, and as I was chatting with my 30 year old copilot about the primaries and how hilarious Trump was he looked at me with a grin and asked "Are you a centipede?" My jaw dropped, as I just learned about reddit from my son the month before, and there were about 10,000 members on T_D. Soon after that, someone posted this pic and I knew we were destined for greatness.
I was a Bill Maher-type: loved stirring the pot, challenged believers constantly. Ran into some smart Christians who actually engaged me and had some answers, or at least challenged me back. Once I learned that what the bible actually said was completely different than what I thought it said, I started doing research in earnest.
I wonder if God feels the same way when this guy misgenders himself.
