The Founders gave the House a lot of leeway as they are supposed to be the most directly accountable to the voters. Now that they know they can stuff/alter the ballot box, prepare for an unceasing flood of Bullshit.

If they aren't willing to swap Jackson for Harriet Tubman on the $20, maybe they'd be okay with McCarthy... either way its not a Democrat.

I don't know if "Absolutely right" is the correct phrasing... after the Soviet Collapse we got into the KGB archives and it turns out the level of infiltration was DOUBLE what Senator McCarthy feared it was.

We still owe that man a better and lasting memory.

Some of us can be happy about secondary concerns while still keeping vigilant.

There are two ways to make the world better:

  1. You can decrease the sucky. (I.e. Restore election integrity, clean out the swamp.)

  2. You can increase the Awesome. (I.e. expand space colony tech, build a 1,001 hp motorcycle)

Both approaches result in a demonstrably better world.

Planning is easy.

Executing the plan while taking enemy fire, that is where the big money is.

If you have to adjudicate a random 70%, then the scanner is actually slowing down the process vs a straight hand count.

Why spend millions of dollars if it neither improves the speed or accuracy of your process?

Yeah, people are confusing how it usually goes with how the process is legally allowed to resolve.

Think about how many lawyers seem to have never bothered to read the Constitution, let alone understand it.

Do you think the general public is more or less likely to put in the effort to study and understand the Constitution?

If we continue to use Dominion style tabulators then all sorts of calculations are programmable.

I recall reading something about a great deal of trouble occurring when a couple of people put faith in the words of another snake.

I can drop a deuce into an envelope and stamp it certified... it'd still be a turd in an envelope.

The determination of accepted slates is solely at the discretion of the Vice President. It doesn't matter how many newscasters or governors or legislators wrote that they agree on the envelope.

If Pence decides to accept the GOP slates then Trump wins.

Your contention is that the Governors signed conflicting slates of electors?

They decided to just inject chaos into the process, and it was the decided by the one's they signed?

Recount =/= Audit

The procedure of a recount is just to replicate the previous count. There is no checking for improper or illegal ballots.

An audit is what we want.

As Trump says, "A complicated business." Reckless adventurism spills youthful blood for ill defined reasons. We agree on this.

Trump's policy of making the USA energy independent is the only reason it is feasible to reduce our presence in the ME. If we abdicate the role of world police, the aggressive actors on the world stage are not going to stand by like teamsters on a union required break.

You want to let China and Russia run amuck over the world? Because that is what happens if you leave a vacuum. Ultimately, we should build our allies up to the point that they can stand strong on their own... but that is not the current state of things.
