Just got a cloudflare error when i tried to read a post. (Something about an invalid ssl cerrtification, not the usual timeout one we get when under ddos attack). Scared the shit out of me.
All this uncertainty right now is really taking a toll on my mom (and by extension me). She is terrified out of her mind right now and the stress is killing her. She can't work, she can't eat, can't even think. She's at the point where she's talking about killing herself before they can haul our family off to a camp. I don't know what to say or how to console her. What do I do?
Sat down to watch the ball drop for new year's with my family (it's a tradition). I feel like I just walked into the twilight zone. Zoom calling people on laptops, interviewing car dealership inflatables, masks on everyone (except the woman singing, I guess she is too important to have to follow the rules like everyone else.)

Went to best buy with my mother to get some parts to upgrade our computer. Walked inside, no problem. Got to the consultion area for our appointment, talked with the guy there for a bit and then had to go to the bathroom. As im walking across the store some soyboy employee came up and asked if a had a mask (they handed me one when i went to the consulting area). Told him yea and then just walked off.
After i got out of the restroom some other old fart started following me and demanded i put one on. Im sick of it at this point (i put the thing on for two seconds so he would stop stalking me, and even though i took off right away still feel disgusted) so i told him to go fuck himself. Im done at this point, so i go grab my computer, tell my mother that it's time to leave (she's sick of this shit too), and threw the face diaper away.
As I'm walking out the soyboy from before says "uh, sir, next time try to keep that on until you leave the store". Looked right at him, told him no, and the best he could come up with was "well then you shouldn't come back here again." Told him that I wasn't planning on it and you can go fuck yourself.
I am so sick of this bullshit. Will never shop at best buy again. I just can't believe how many people mindlessly go along with this nonsense.
My mom is currently in a debate with my leftist aunt. For years my aunt has been saying that Trump is an evil, callous person who doesn't care about people. She is one of those people who gets her news directly from facebook headlines and buys into all that russian collusion delusion and thinks that he killed millions with covid. She is convinced that the stuff he is saying is going to start a civil war (not the people currently burning down the country though). My mom has been trying to convince her for a long time but she gets a lot of shit for her beliefs and I want to help her out.
I need help finding stuff that shows what an awesome guy our president is. Pictures and videos of him interacting with others that display the kind of character he has. Records of him donating to charities, stories from people he has helped out, really anything I can show my aunt to prove her otherwise. Any chance I can count on my fellow Pedes to help me out? Would really appreciate it.
