They already specify which misdemeanors would require DNA collection:
Shoplifting; Grand Theft; Receiving Stolen items when receipt know items were stolen; Forging a check, bond, check, draft, or order fraud; Possessing a controlled narcotic classified as schedule 3,4, or 5, except as provided by a Dr. (These required DNA collection before prop 45 changed it).
However, this would add some more misdemeanors to DNA collection that prop 45 didn’t change:
Domestic violence; Prostitution with a minor; Battery against a SO; Corporal injury resulting in a traumatic injury against a SO; Willfully causing not permitting great bodily harm or death to elder or defendant adult.
