This is news to me. The only thing I found was a WSJ article re shutting down over racist and violent posts. I've been on a lot of social media and I can state emphatically, this place does a helluva lot better job clearing that away than anywhere else I've been.

What's the secret handshake. (manual, not techie handshake.) We'll let you keep going only if you can do it. Or was it the secret doorknock? I can't remember.

Enough with the BS PR Campaign. We are not children. We know what we saw and addressing our concerns IN PUBLIC and allowing hearings to take place IN PUBLIC would have been better than this ''ignore it and it will go away'' response. I'm re-registering my party affiliation as soon as something better comes up. The two ruling parties we have now can just F right off.

That was interesting, but I think this more like when the Taliban takes the credit for something they didn't do, just for street cred.

My family and the world. Congrats, China. You won in more ways than one.

The main difference is that nobody wanted to kill the cops on 1/6 and they simply had not prepared to take any major violent action like actually seize the Capitol. It fell into the hands of those who were willing to cross that line.

I have this opinion and the one about more censorship coming, too.

I'm with you. Problem is too many of us don't know what life is like outside the US to understand what they have and what others don't and how easily that is lost.

Not true. The Philippines in '86. Since we are now card carrying banana republicans, we should be able to, as well. What they did have is the very wealthy behind it, who then rushed in to take the BoD positions left.

It's not just China. We are under attack from the Boy Billionaire's Club from Silicon Valley. The interference with our elections is evident and their bias censorship is more powerful than people know. There's a reason Cheryl Sandberg contacted Hillary as Trump's campaign began gathering steam. Even Obama admits social media was a huge influential factor to his presidency. How much have these hearings in disputed states been reported on by MSM in the US? There has been nothing reported outside of it. Nothing.

The First Amendment does not provide the right to conduct an assembly at which there is a clear and present danger of riot, disorder, or interference with traffic on public streets, or other immediate threat to public safety or order.[13] Statutes that prohibit people from assembling and using force or violence to accomplish unlawful purposes are permissible under the First Amendment.[14] --- Library of Congress

The right to assemble is not absolute. Local government has a right to request police presence and to have police act if .... and it's an important if ... emminent violence/rioting appears. Pushing past a police barrier is not considered a peaceful protest. Entering into a government building with the intention of intimidating elected officials is not peacefully protesting. If you are wandering in the same place as those who pushed past a police barrier, you are no longer peacefully protesting, but taking an active part in said intimidation. Are we positive antifa was there? Are we sure those dead weren't disobeying a direct order from police? There's a lot of investigating that needs to be done. We can only hope it happens without bias. /s

Fair point. However, many outside the US feel that because we are questioning election results we are a banana republic. As if we should not question an unprecedented election with rumors of rampant voter fraud. Some of the evidence in the hearings I watched were more than enough to make me want to ask a lot of questions. The house impeached Pres. Trump with less!

This would have been covered under the bill Pres. Trump was pushing. Holding all media responsible for passing off opinion as fact was something tech giants could not let happen.

Well, their ignorance just may cause another civil war. We got where we are today because of the current style of government, our people electing officials to represent them there and an old piece of paper that started it all. I'm not particularly religious, but we have this little thing in that old piece of paper that makes it so you don't have to practice one specific religion and even better, you don't have to practice at all! That's called ''freedom''. I meet more and more people shaking their heads at Americans wanting to throw away their freedoms and rights or complaining about them, not knowing how good we have it.

If you have evidence, I mean the type that holds up in courts, please share. We do still practice ''innocent until proven guilty.'' Carlos Danger's evidence held up, the odious little man he was and probably still is. Our government is like a bunch of mean girl cliches competing for top bitch. Then there's the FBI, helping the one they like best out win.

Many, many years ago we did. This is not the worst to have ever happen to us. We left to get away from rule by intimidation and without representation. We need to start looking at what we teach to our kids, if they don't know what we are and how we got there.
