I like the NLT version because it’s the easiest to read. KJV is best for accuracy and scholarly reading but I’m more of a “eat the meat and spit out the bones” type of guy.
Also, gotquestions.org is a great website where Bible scholars and evangelist take time to answer ANY question you could possibly dream of regarding scripture. Like “why does God allow evil to exist?” What is more important truth or love? How do you love your enemy? Etc.
I like to supplement Bible reading with things like that. Also, “unlimited submission” by the black robe regiment preacher Dan Fisher is a fantastic book that debunks the false interpretations of romans13:1-5 and hammers home the point we are not called to submit to tyrannical governments. There is a line that shall not be crossed. That’s why many people in the Bible were justified in the eyes of God Almighty when defying their authorities. That’s why 1776 is such a miracle because it was a righteous revolution.

On a side note, the only reason I know about Ecclesiastes is because that’s what the Black Robe Regiment preachers of 1776 preached from to propel their pulpit into a just war. Them old school preachers have given me much more peace than these modern day PC preachers who are too scared to speak about real issues/tyranny/deceit etc and have inspired me to dig deeper into scripture and God’s will. I have faith these tough times will forge new patriot preachers who have the cajones to wield the sword of truth to tear down the devil’s strongholds over peoples minds, hearts and spirits.
