I don't wear a mask and am rarely hassled - except the one time a Safeway manager Karen freaked out on me and ran off to call security after I already said I would leave. Do not shop at Safeway.

Think about it - most people wear cloth masks and how often do they wash them? If ever!? They set them on the seat of their car, throw them in their purse, lay them on the counter - they are absolutely FULL of germs of all kinds. Cloth covered by the warm, moist air that you are breathing out is germ paradise.
THAT is all it takes. There are more of us, than there are of them.
