Going through the same with my son. I've tried just avoiding politics, but it doesn't work. Finally decided I have a duty to try to un-brainwash him, and if that means I lose him, so be it. I cannot stand sitting and listening to my own flesh and blood spew commie crap.

When I was younger, I would have willingly gone through life believing there was not as much evil in the world as is displayed in that post.

It's far less destructive and very do-able. I am going to join my local party. I'll try to get on. We have two sons that live in different parts of the state - if I can talk them into it, that is three precincts in our state with actual conservative representation.
They have friends who live in other parts of the state, etc. etc.

I don't hold any ill will towards anyone that wants to legitimately work for a better life, or for people who are down on their luck - but the REASON that the politicians want to bring people here from other countries is so that they will be unmoored from the Constitution and American principles.
