Thats pretty antithetical to the first amendment and fourteenth amendment - we don't punish citizens for who they decide to marry in this country. That's their free choice.

Edit: a practical reason not to, let's say the government decides to disincentivize white marriages (or any other race, for that matter). Should they be allowed to withhold benefits and essential services from white (or any other race) families? I don't trust the state with eugenics power.

No checks go to illegals. The checks go to US citizens who were denied checks merely because they are married to a noncitizen (note, illegal or not).

The government doesn't get to discriminate based upon who you marry and would have been forced to give the checks out next year as they were struggling to fight this in court.

Did I say anything about the NIV? Keep arguing with a strawman rather than address my point.

You're claiming that a governmentally-created edit (by the government that the US revolted against) is the one and true Bible. That is laughable at best and satanic at worst.

The KJV removed several parts of the Geneva Bible as well, admittedly because the King of England felt threatened by them,, so you clearly don't know you what you are talking about.

King James Version was a government-commissioned Bible by which the Church of England revised the language of the Geneva Bible to remove anything that would threaten the authority of the king of England. Your sentiment is an absolute joke and certainly does not comport with Christ's teachings nor the history of Christianity.

No money ever went to illegals in that bill - they go to American citizens who are married to non-citizens (note, illegal or not). US citizens who are married to non-citizens were denied checks merely based on who they chose to marry.

Edit: anyway, it wasn't giving $1800 to anyone - it was giving $600 to those US citizens and giving them the $1200 that they were wrongfully denied in the first go-round.

Edit 2: just to be clear, I am not saying I support the bloated pork bill, but I am saying that you are mischaracterizing the amendment to the stimulus checks provisions.

You mean the law that Dems invoked last year regarding the Ukraine funds? You mean the bill that served as the basis for the impeachment hoax? That bill that is still in effect?

You're out of your element, Donnie.

This bill actually played a role in the impeachment, so it is more of what goes around comes around

He voted for NDAA keeping section 230 in tact according to your link, despite Trump's call for repeal, so this isn't the best counterargument.
