I think these types of operations should be limited to the very rarest of circumstances. A law abiding citizen could definitely see this as a threat of criminals and not cops.

Unfair. I know that statistically "black" people commit more violent crime but we should not treat the black community as a monolith.
Black folks that originate from different areas of the world are vastly different people. Black people from Jamaica for example are different than the recent migrants from Africa that just got done murdering their neighbors for slightly darker skin.
Even if you believe that there is some innate weakness or problem generally with people that have dark skin, you should then feel for the vast numbers that are normal every day people that have to be labeled like this.

A lot though of what they sell is just better quality typical products. For example the beans, hominy and corn (If you have never had hominy you should try it, I've been eating it all my life and it's amazing)
The wafer cookies are good too.
Good olive oil, perfect rice etc, hearts of palm (I like on Salad)
It is pretty much a better quality product for anything you find with their name on it. I am not sure about the cost, I have never compared but the quality is superior to Dole and other companies. By the way fucking Dole and their canned fruit from China can kiss my ass.
It's only a matter of time. They screwed up people working as contractors which is absolutely huge. The virus is going to cause a crash again most likely in real estate, people will hurt and when people hurt they want change.
One of my favorites is to make a Spanish style rice, saute some onion, garlic in olive oil (Goya of course :P) add a couple cups of white long grain (Hi Goya rice) and when it's a bit translucent, add some green chiles, crushed tomatoes, small can of tomato sauce (Yeah Goya) and then you can add some cayenne if you want, cumin and other "Mexican" flavors if you like. Cook it for 20ish minutes until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
Then eat that and the black beans. Damn it's great. I also make enchiladas and tamales with the two of those often and love them. I feel like my German and British ass was one from Mexico sometimes!
They have been falling for so many years that any love I once had for them has turned into incredible hatred. Over the last 30 years I went from loving them and wanting to emulate half of what they do using their tactics as a roadmap of what not to do in life.

The benefit of a private company. Why anyone would want to be public. I believe they have the quality they do only because they are private.
In Shoprite, at least in New Jersey they have almost two aisles to themselves. Also Shoprite here has the most amazing Mexican and Venezuelan cheese. Every variety oddly enough and I have lived in CA for 20 years before I was here.
Queso Blanco, Queso Fresco, Cojiita etc. Just cool to be able to get it any time, used to it being kind of rough to find.
Now cheddar cheese curds.. good luck finding them anywhere.
I have never seen Goya black beans in a bag but have bought about 500 cans over the last couple decades from them I am sure. I'll have to see if I can find any and make some.
Most of it was all sold out. No kidney beans (canned anyway) No black beans, no cookies, no rice. It was like a complete run and I have never seen that before in the 15+ years I have been regularly buying their stuff.
I love that too, The black beans are amazing, the wafer cookies. Their white hominey is awesome.
They just make really great products.

As annoying as this is for you, there is nothing that a single election should do to endanger the relationship you have with your parents. One very American value is your choice of who you vote for.
I can't stand Biden, I can't stand the left generally. I do however respect that people disagree with me, there are personal reasons even for why people may dislike our candidate.
I am a die-hard Trump supporter and conservative but it's good American values to not hate on people for choosing to vote how they wish.
We view it as ignorant and backwards but in the end it is our system. They had the media beat it into their brains how bad Trump is for four years.
Don't throw away your relationship over an election, not worth it friend.
