Im tired of seeing celebrities and leftist with all the money and resources self-flagellate and celebrate how much pain they can cause themselves during Coronavirus times.

The odds of you killing your family and friends by hanging out with them and giving them a hug is near 0 unless you live a crazy life. I don't feel sorry for anyone who puts themselves through emotional torment by self isolating.

Have you been in large crowds? have you hung out in close proximity with strangers? Have you not worn a mask around someone symptomatic?

If you have answered no to those questions, heavy odds are that you can hug your mom and not kill her.

The people who are parading around and exclaiming greatness for their depressing virtue is disgusting.

Don't hurt yourself anymore than the rest of the world is hurting. Dont try to make people feel better by saying how much you're suffering. Don't mske people suffer with you. What the fuck are we supposed to do if no one understands such a simple message?

Why does poverty exist?

I will agree with almost any answer. Race, education, religion, geographic location, effort, physical condition, mental ability, oppression, concentration of wealth, access to resources, and whatever anyone wants to throw into that list from either political spectrum.

How do we fix poverty?

The answer to how to we fix poverty is where i stop agreeing with certain types of people. I get tired of the "pick yourself up by the bootstraps" mythos that liberals think conservatives espouse. Most conservative do not believe impoverished people should just go to college, learn to code, and get a job. No one i know is that ignorant. My belief is that people are always capable of doing more for themselves by doing more for others.

Why does it feel like the liberal intellectuals want to destroy personal agency by suggesting no one is capable of doing anything for themselves or their community, if they are impoverished?

I might be that guy. Im not going to flout my political stance other than to suggest I prefer to be moderate or centrist. I prefer not to watch cities burn. I prefer civil conversation. I prefer rational conversation about cultural morality. I don't think racism is systemic. I don't care about the identity of anyone as long as they are nice.

I think Trump is not a model for character, and I won't idolize him, but i don't think many people like me exist in the Biden Basement.

I'm not sure, if I am a pede, but that video of the woman in australia getting arrested for planning to bring the voice of unheard people to the publics attention terrified me. I don't want that in a America. The other side seems okay with that.

Trump might be the only way to ensure America keeps freedom.

Edit: i never expected this kind of rally around opinions! You all sound really passionate and thoughtful. I would say I feel the community for sure. Thanks to all!
