Right, but thats why we maintain the quarantine for the at risk group. Think of this in terms of two groups: the healthy majority and the at risk minority. The healthy majority will almost never need hospitalization if infected. The at risk minority will. If we quarantine everyone, the spread of the virus will slow among both groups. But if we let it spread among the healthy majority while quarantining the at risk minority, the virus infects the entire healthy majority while largely avoiding the at risk minority, never risking catastrophic hospital bed depletion. Then, the healthy majority recovers and is immune. The virus has nowhere else to spread.
But 80% of healthy people won’t ever need those hospital beds. So let the healthy majority continue life as normal. And quarantine the at risk persons. Plus, the smaller the group that is quarantined, the more people will take it seriously. Mass quarantines don’t last.
