I've watched it closely. Over a week ago defense changed their strategy to focusing on beating murder 2, which requires proving beyond a reasonable doubt that there was intent to kill. Absolutely nothing proves that.
Manslaughter 3 might be reasonable, a minimum sentence being 4 years. Less time off for good behavior per truth in sentencing laws.
Maximum sentence for murder 2 is 40 years. That's life for Chauvin, he's 46.
