I have people come up to me randomly - or respond to my comments, and talk about how stupid this whole thing is, too. The difference is that I never have, and never will, wear a mask or a face shield because someone told me I had to.
Funny thing is, nobody who talks to me "socially distances". The masks and face shields simply separate those who conform blindly from those who make their own decisions.
I personally haven't "risen up" because it would be pointless unless it actually accomplishes something. That said, since the installation of the current regime I have taken the position that my country is under occupation and I will engage in whatever actions are prudent and/or necessary to honor my oath.
I truly believe that if we as a species hope to survive, we've got to - for the most part, go back to the way things were. At some point rational people should question the push for "progress" and ask when will it be enough. And all joking aside, I think anyone with a brain can see that if artificial intelligence and machine autonomy continue to be developed, the only logical outcome is right out of the Terminator movie series.
I think things were at their overall best - at least here in America, post WWII, and have been going downhill with increasing rapidity ever since.
This is the part I really have never understood; how does our government deciding that it, funded by our taxpayer dollars, should place foreign nationals into our communities, not violate our civil rights by depriving us of the right to associate with AMERICANS?
My next door neighbor - whom my family has known since 1986, is a flaming liberal and worked in the courts and elections department for years. With all the democrats I met through her, until I stopped in to the Republican headquarters (spelled 'RINO'), I thought I was the only non-democrat in the whole state.
I'm a former investigator and did a lot of observing during, and a bit of digging after working the polls. I'm convinced it was a 100% farce, and yes, the electronic voting machines were online.
What brought me to the Republican office was a quest for information after my mother, a registered Republican who died in '08, was sent an invitation to register to vote ten years later. This was conveniently explained away by the Republican district chairman as "they go off the property tax records"... like VOTER REGISTRATION and DEATH records are meaningless.
"MAMS B DADS"? Is that just a combination of cringeworthy spelling and dyslexia, or a secret message?
"I see conspiracy people EVERYWHERE".
