Correction, Hitler never talked about taking back land lost after WW1. If you read Mein Kampf, he actually calls out people who wanted to do this as short sighted and instead wanted to take even more land that historically belonged to Germans as he saw it, stretching all the way to the Volga river and basically all of Western Russia.
