Wow this is just... No words how much effort you went to collect these.

That road was closed at the time. The driver of the Jag would be facing a misdemeanor at minimum: https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=47.48&full=true

If he goes to trial, the prosecution would probably want to show that because he entered a closed road, he would be responsible for the injuries to the protestors. Not that going out on a closed highway is the smartest idea either. Here's a link to the longer form video that includes the protestors heading out in the truck to pursue and detain the Jag driver: https://hoodsite.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/blm-protesters-hit-car-i-5-downtown-seattle.mp4

I don't agree with the decisions protestors do to shut down roads. Those interstate highways carry people, but more importantly ship goods across the region for business; heh, including their precious Gucci and Starbucks. However, that Jag driver was a bonehead for entering a closed highway somewhere in the system.

** Edit ** In the Jag driver's defense, when you see a crowd of people on a closed highway, I wouldn't want to stick around. But if the highway's closed or empty, why not back up and turn around :-P

I'd be scared at that point too; from his point of view, he may believe the protestors are looking to exact justice.

From the protestor's point of view, perhaps that's what they were after, or they wanted to detain him.

One of the radio talk show hosts, known as Michael Savage, talked one day about whether it was worth it to use hydroxychloroquine. He, and a guest, Dr. Remington Nevin, talked about both how the drug seems to help with the virus due to its anti-inflammatory effects, but also how in the long term it could pose a danger through hallucinations and reduced mental faculties if used chronically. Now, I'm not sure what length of time could be considered "chronic", vs a shorter time span (acute maybe?). It does though weigh on my mind that these side effects are so severe.

Here are some links to the podcast episode I am referring to: https://dcs.megaphone.fm/WWO8548366526.mp3 https://playlist.megaphone.fm/?p=WWO2453800973

The study Michael Savage links to: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4233433/

And the doctor's website: https://remingtonnevin.com/

In short, I think it's important to understand that there are serious long-term effects to its usage over a long period of time, and that President Trump's decision to forward these may have been out of haste to preserve American lives. However, I also think that, given the alternatives to those that are older, or have serious pre-existing conditions, this may provide an edge needed to survive infection.
