I’m in Louisville KY, we are all bracing for the aftermath of whatever the Brionna Taylor verdict is. Recently we’ve had a few neighborhood power outages, seemingly randomly, but there’s been no severe weather that would’ve caused it. Found out that an outage last night was caused by someone shooting at a local transformer that knocked out power to two large neighborhood areas. Two questions:
- Anybody else seen anything similar where you live? The Oregon fires have me on high alert for other acts of domestic terrorism.
- Was there ever any follow up on having local .win groups? Would love to connect with more local like-minded individuals.
When I was in high school, it seemed we never took advice/instruction/direction from adults, teachers, politicians etc. without a little pushback or self-exploration of what they were saying before agreeing or disagreeing.
The amount of teenagers and early twenty somethings I see just blindly advocating for wearing masks, doing exactly what their governors are telling them to do at each press conference, and generally actually following ‘advice’ is kind of baffling and intriguing to me.
Is there no individual spirit anymore? Nothing that causes you to question authority and not necessarily disagree with it but at least examine and explore it for yourself? I guess it’s true, easy times create weak men, weak men create hard times, hard times create strong men. We are in the weak men/hard times cycle now.
