If CNN is mentioning OAN on the air, even just to insult them, it means they're scared.

No. When Bush sent out the $600 checks it was just a check for the full amount straight from the Treasury. This time around I'm sure most people will get direct deposits, but it will be the same thing.

Trump can say the federal government won't pay, but in the end we will, at least to some extent; I'm sure the FBI or Secret Service have some division that watches over foreign dignitaries due to the issues that would arise if they were assassinated on US soil, as well as large cities like NYC and LA having similar divisions in their police departments. So no, we won't be providing them with security as they'll almost certainly have some sort of private service, but them being here will cost us money.

Those are some good points, I always hate when the leftists clutch their pearls about things that happened hundreds of years ago. Fact is that if I were around at the time I might not have been so restrained.

I don't know much about the Battle of New Orleans, wasn't it a battle in the War of 1812? I don't see how the British taking New Orleans would destroy the nation when them taking Washington DC didn't.

Jackson was the first Democrat president and responsible for the Trail of Tears among other atrocities. They want him memory holed because they don't want to be associated with him, but with him being on the $20 bill he's currently one of the most recognizable presidents.

The funny thing is, I believe that no matter what, they're wasting their time. Just speaking for myself, while I do like him, it isn't so much that I like Trump that will get me to go vote for him, it's that I hate them. I can't emphasize that word enough, HATE. They say the difference between a liberal and a conservative is that a conservative thinks the liberal is misguided and naive while the liberal thinks the conservative is evil. Well, not me, I think they are all pure evil and there is not a single thing they could say, there isn't any mistake or gaffe Trump could make that would get me to vote for them or even just stay home.

Ah, downtown Seattle. I wonder if those Black Hebrew Israelite guys are still out there, I bet she wouldn't say shit to them.

I don't know about meaningful or useful, but I'm confident that people like LBJ, Bush Sr, and Cheney did impactful things behind the scenes, more so than the average Vice President anyways.

Still, 2-3 weeks seems like a retardedly long time. I don't know how their systems work, but all the IRS has to do is tell a computer to make a list of all tax filers from 2018 and 2019 as well as their most recently associated direct deposit information, eliminate duplicates, eliminate those that made over $X, send out $1200 to each. Boom, at least 50% of the way done and now they can focus on the remaining 50% in the coming days. All that's left after that is people who didn't file taxes for whatever reason so they'll have to coordinate with Social Security, and people who made over whatever the limit is who need to have their amount calculated, and those who didn't file with their direct deposit info and so need to be sent checks.

It's pretty funny how long this is going to take, and a great example of government bureaucracy in action: "The people are in crisis, they need money NOW! takes a week to argue about the details Good news everyone, you will all get money in 1-3 months!" I bet if it was a private company doing this, with the urgency this high, they could get it done in 3 days.

Immigrants are fine, but we shouldn't have a set number we need to hit every year, and they should be much more strictly vetted. Lefties like to say we're a "nation of immigrants", which is bullshit; we're a nation of pioneers. Back in the day people wanted to come to America because it was "the land of opportunity", if you worked hard and had a little luck you could change you and your family's fortunes and climb the social ladder, unlike in the socially stratified old world. If not, you might be able to subsist on some starvation level handouts from a church or something. Basically it was sink or swim, work hard to better your future or die. In the end, the immigrants that we got that ended up succeeding were the types of immigrants you want, smart industrious people.

Now with all the social safety nets and government entitlements and what not, at least half the world would be fucking stupid not to come here if they get a chance; just coming here and subsisting on government handouts will give them a better quality of life than they have in whatever shithole they come from. The thing to remember though is that shitholes don't make themselves into shitholes, the people that live there do. These are not the types of immigrants any successful country wants. So the thing that leftists just don't seem to get is that yeah, we had basically unrestricted immigration for a long time, but once you started instituting these welfare programs we had to tighten up immigration restrictions because otherwise we'd end up with half the world here just to leech off of us. The same will be true for free college, UBI, whatever other bullshit they're pushing: socialist policies cannot work, and they especially can't work with open borders.

Well shit, if that happens I'll have to think about whether I want to cash it or not. In all seriousness though, I would assume that most people will be paid via direct deposit. Although I have wondered, since they're getting the direct deposit info from tax returns, what happens with the people that have switched banks since filing their taxes? I mean I still have the same account, but I'm sure there are people out there that don't.

DJTrump2020 8 points ago +8 / -0

Why didn't you already file them in the first place? And you know that tax returns aren't going to be the only way they determine who gets money, right? If you didn't have tax returns there are other ways they can see you, like SS. Anyways, since you just filed your 2019 taxes and with all this shit going on, they probably aren't even going to look at them for a while. Your 2018 taxes are most likely at the very bottom of things they care about right now.

That doesn't make any kind of logical sense, how can the entity that prints money go bankrupt? The FED could print up an extra $100T right now and all that would happen is the money that we all have would become worthless.

Probably Corvette tbh. Every time I've gone to one of those races where it's just normal people in their cars, forget what it's called, if there was a Corvette in the race, it won.

Seriously. After the whole too big to fail thing went down and we had to bail them out, is seems like the logical next step after the crisis was past would be to break up any company deemed "too big to fail". Turn 1 company into 10 so that if any one of the 10 goes under it doesn't really matter.

Most of that stuff isn't stuff most people can just "figure out if they want it bad enough", it's stuff that you have to be taught either in a school setting or hands on training with someone that's experienced. It's not the common sense stuff you have to worry about, it's the stuff that you won't have any way of knowing unless someone tells you.

Seems to me that the main way you can become infected is through your mouth and nose, it's probably possible through your eyes, but it's not going to absorb through your skin. So a mask is probably actually the best thing to use, not only will it protect you from people coughing in your face but more importantly it will stop you from touching your mouth and nose; they're not recommending them for the public because they want them prioritized for healthcare workers and there aren't enough for everyone.

That being said, I have a whole box of N95 masks that I haven't even touched except to put one on my dog for a Facebook picture. Maybe I'll start worrying about this bullshit if someone I know gets it, or even a friend of a friend.

Yeah well I'm sure you can also get the virus on your clothes, I guess we should start having everyone strip naked before they come inside.
