Money is only as good as the amount of people that believe in it. We can create new money and give each other ten billions of it but you won't be able to buy even a jug of milk for it, unless we have someone in our group who sells milk and believes in our money too. The dollar or bitcoin is no different - it is just a paper money that costs what it costs only because people believe in it, it has no real universal value. So to create our own money we also would need to create our shops that sell valuable goods for this money, jobs where people can earn this money, etc. Without that people would want to eventually exchange it to/from dollars or some other popular currency, which can be easily blocked if needed, so it defeats the purpose. There are tons of existing crypto currencies out there that can be used instead, I don't see a point in coming up with another one just so we can call it WIN.
Notice how they don't mention what they need that money for, it's just two unrelated sentences. Like "it was windy today. I need your money now more than ever". You automatically assume that they need the money to fight Bidet, but they might be collecting funds to support him and you can't say later they lied to you in that message as it didn't say anything about what that money was for.
