As much as we all know income taxes are theft, and the government is, for all intents and purposes, the mafia, there's really not much choice. If you don't pay, ultimately government workers with guns will come and take you away. This is not a good alternative for most.

I recently called in a complaint to Harbor Freight corporate because the cashier got into an argument with a patron over mask stuff. The patron was even wearing a mask in that case. Let him explain to management why he felt the need to harass a patron who wasn't even violating their mask policy.
People are getting sick of it. I live in a suburb of NYC. I was in a store and waiting to pay when the cashier asked me to put my mask over my nose. When I'm forced to wear it, I wear it under my nose and, until now, nobody ever cares. Anyway, I mocked the cashier for being a nazi since he said he was just following orders. At that point, the dude in front of me on line went ballistic on the clerk. It was glorious. The clerk tried to chill him out, calling him 'brother'. This infuriated the guy even more. He eventually cursed out the clerk ("you're not my fucking brother, my brother wouldn't harass people etc"), threatened to call the police on the clerk, and finally stormed out. I was highly entertained. When it was my turn to pay, I simply said to the clerk "good job there Goebbels, keep following orders, you'll go far in life". Of course, he had nothing to say at that point.
To make the day even better, that evening we went out to eat in a restaurant. Someone got up from their table without a mask on and the waiter asked him to put his mask on. He simply told him "go fuck yourself" and the waiter backed down and slinked off. Later, there was a chant of "fuck Cuomo" in the restaurant. It was very heartwarming.
Actually, I wouldn't be surprised to see them take down Schumer and Pelosi. I believe it's possible that the next stage of the coup is to get the extremists into top leadership. Schumer and Pelosi know this which is why they have been playing ball, but they just may be ousted soon.
While it couldn't happen to a nicer guy, I'd remove and arrest him for the deaths but first get all the facts regarding the sexual harassment stuff before rushing to judgment. I'm not a fan of these types of lynchings. That being said, fuck Cuomo. About the least negative thing I could say about him is that he's just another corrupt politician.
My wife was in more or less the same condition. I explained to her that sometimes, in fact probably most of the time, criminals get away with their crimes. Letting it affect you does not change that or help the situation. She stopped watching tv news or looking at social media. Other than the occasional feel-good item, such as Trump's lawyer issuing the beatdown on that fake news person, she is disengaged and in a much better place currently. Get your mind focused on other stuff. Personally, I've started learning about gunsmithing. Will I ever be a gunsmith? I highly doubt it, but I find it interesting and a nice use of my spare time when I'm not working.
Whenever a situation like this occurs, or if you happen to observe it happening to others, I recommend that you send an email to the business, particularly their corporate headquarters. Let them know that their employee was harassing patrons, acting inappropriately, etc. You don't even have to get into all the mask related stuff. It sends them into a tizzy and will almost certainly result in the employee getting a 'talking to'. Ultimately they will realize that being a Karen is not worth their job.
