When the FBI extended its jurisdiction to New Zealand and Megaupload got summarily executed, I would have worked for the FBI for minimum wage in a trailer for years to work to find files that had no probable cause of being illegal so that they could be turned back on, whether they be family photos, or whatever... for years I just kept running into links to completely legal things that were gone forever in a moment. I'm not sure whether or not the alleged burning of the Library of Alexandria was worse... unconscionable.

Honestly, I was thinking earlier today, Trump should respond to the teacher union hostage taking of our society bullshit by an executive order to get, by the best means possible, public, private, military, Bureau of Land Management, I'm not partial - but order at least one of this sort of hazmat suit for every teacher in the country and hopefully not, but, if necessary every last child, too.
Absurd? Of course. More absurd than the status quo of COMPLETELY DESTROYING OUR SOCIAL COMPACT by not opening the schools? I don't think so!
Single mothers are getting DEPRAVEDLY ABUSED by ideologically insane, craven tools that refuse to allow the consideration of ANY of MANY reasons schools NEED to be opened. My coworker of 20 years, a single mom in her 40s with multiple kids, finally gave up, quit her job, and moved away and back in to her parents' home. We supported her in letting her bring her kids to work but one is going into high school (if we ever have those again) and the others are younger, they have different needs and schedules and she turned on the local news to hear the decree from on high and it was:

also daycares are still illegal too lol get fucked!

Apparently they were stupid enough to youtube urls to mainstream crappy songs in the unit tests of the python source. Damn shame.
I know it's not dead, I still have my version from late June, but github let youtube-dl keep up with countermeasures... I don't know anything specific but some posters in the hacker news shitstorm worry it'll be coordinated with an Alphabet/Google/Gilead/YouTube company countermeasure on the YouTube site. Who knows, but I what I do know is that I don't remember a topic on news.ycombinator.com getting so many upvotes and so many comments so fast, thousands and thousands...
My initial research suggests that the RIAA last engaged in a major legal battle in 2010 that they won against Limewire. But in March 2020 the US Supreme Court ruled against RIAA, in this weird case about sovereign immunity not letting state governments be sued for copyright infringement... I don't know if that pissed the RIAA off or what.
I know that about a week ago on this site we had a discussion about how to archive youtube or other video channels as fast as possible when someone was exposed and no one had found a better tool than youtube-dl and we taught a few new people how to use it.

It really pisses me off how they call Trump a "fascist" even! After all the mercy and opportunity for redemption he's offered! I guess all the people given mercy for having committed far less horrible drug crimes than Hunter Biden are able to accept the mercy because they obviously deserve it and need it.

I hope there's such a massive victory in the election that Trump's mandate to finish the job will be undeniable.
The only worry is what we can possibly do about all the voting fraud. On Twitch right now, Amazon is promoting a propaganda film shamelessly casting any kind of attempt to verify the integrity of our election process as a fatal attack on democracy itself, horribly racist, and evil.
In 2016, the Dems they could be lazy, that Trump couldn't win, and so they didn't prepare to cheat. They've been cheating and preparing for more cheating the next 4 years. They think cheating is their moral obligation. I remember Broward County in Florida delaying and delaying until it became obvious they couldn't get away with the amount of fake ballots they'd need to stop Trump in Florida but they'd been frantically trying to make ballots for so long the whole thing was fucked up and they couldn't hide it but the county is so mafia-controlled there was no justice.
It's gonna get ugly.
Meanwhile, Obama shows up and barely more people care about it than care about Biden.
I'm starting to wonder if the democrats ever won without voting fraud.
