My mother is a California native, her family has been there since the 1800s. My father was a Chicago native, he met my mother in the Marines when he was stationed in California. So I was born in Long Beach before we moved to the Chicago suburbs when I was a kid.
My family has four generations in the Chicago-land area and now we're packing up and leaving the region. We just have to finish settling our remaining affairs.
