I wrote a 10 page screed in another thread about this. Parler is toast. Gab has already been through all this BS and come out the other side. Parler is going to get REKT or they will comply and start banning accounts. I'm not even pro Gab. I'm a unix admin. I used to do this crap for a living while fighting all out channel wars on IRC in the late 90s. By Monday or Tuesday Parler will be dark and it will never ever come back.
I'll simplify... Parler is a house made of straw. Gab is a house made of iron and bricks because the wolf already knocked all their other houses down REPEATEDLY. GL with that.
The important thing to do now is organize. We need a command structure. We need supply lines and logistics/medical personnel. We need communications they can't cut off easily.
Most importantly if you know anyone that is active military you remind them every damn day that they do not have to obey illegal orders. Orders to bomb civilians even armed ones with military weapons aren't legal.
Umm... when your DNS provider gives you 24 hours before they delete your DNS no your site no longer exists. You need to research the insane things they did to Gab. Every few weeks it was a new crisis for 6 months.
I don't know Parler's setup in detail, but people like that normally just go buy space in a server farm. That farm is OWNED by a big tech guy that when he gets a call from a VP a alphabet(google) and that VP says we will ass rape you and your dead grandmother it you don't pull his plug... guess what he pulls the plug. That's assuming the server farm guy is even willing to fight or argue on your behalf. If he's a libtard there is no threat, he just shuts you off.
I'm a unix admin. I've dealt with BS like this first hand. I used to deal with IRC stuff in the late 90s. Because IRC clients and server get attacked with DOS attacks people will kick you out of their server rooms etc. And what I dealt with was pretty petty. Parler is fixing to have all of Big Tech crush their soul.
FYI the app store thing is nothing. You can download the app and install it directly. That's what Gab users do. There is a reason admins like me call O'reilly's DNS and BIND "the bible". Without DNS you have to use IP addresses which is fine for a guy like me but your average Joe can't do it. Without DNS you are nothing. My first computer was a 386DX16 SCO Xenix machine in 1990. I've literally been admining Unix servers sense I was 20. I just never seriously looked into rooting because it voided your warranty and I'm lazy. But apparently it no longer voids your warranty. So yeah my next phone I'll def look into that.
I know they have some built in stuff I'm talking about even more in depth stuff. The stuff now on the default OS is limited.

Parler isn't the GOP RINOs. Parler is a separate group of conservative leaning people that setup their own third party area where they could be big fish in a little pond. At one point Brad Parscal talked to them while he was still with Trump but apparently they didn't like what they heard. Months later Dan Bongino threw his weight behind Parler because he INVESTED. They want to cash in on the fall of Twitter and could care less if it helps the movement, or free speach, etc. Its all lip service.
But listen the math is SIMPLE. They have left Parler alone because Parler hasn't pissed them off yet. Today they demanded Parler fall in line. The head guy John something said no F U. Within hours google and apple are removing their app from the stores. Next they will remove their domain DNS. They will get them kicked out of their cloud server farm... and on and on. Parler won't last a week. The whole site will be down. Done. Finished.
Gab went through all this BS in waves and each one was a huge pain in the ass for everyone. Parler is going to get the full treatment all in one week and it will get crushed like an aluminum can.
That damn thing asked me for boats yesterday and it showed me a picture of a freaking float plane. Is that boat or is it a plane. I was like WTF!!! And no I'm talking about the gag ones people post on the board. It was even IN the water.
I have the skills to do shit like that but it voids your warranty and a bunch of other crap. You can brick your phone if you make a mistake. Not worth the trouble yet. When they start pre-installing tracking bullshit then maybe.
Yep. Even when you uninstall it leaves shit behind. Next phone I get I'm being 20 times more careful what I install to begin with. And I'm not letting the store move all my shit over. I'm doing it myself so I just get my contacts and pictures. Not allowing it to copy the old apps over.
Hehe. Back in the 90s I was an EFnet channel warrior. One of the best actually. IRC servers aren't that hard to setup really.
