Obviously we won't know for sure but I doubt it. I had in increase in spam calls starting way back. I recall hearing something about a spam call type law was passed/updated/something and it could be coincidence but it seems like I started getting them around that time.
And the flu makes ppl sick as hell every year reaching into the 100s of thousands and even killing into the 10s of thousands. No shutdowns or mandates for the flu though.
