Yeah because of Trump, I also found out that Daley was corrupted as well. I asked my father, who lived in Chicago half of his life (grew up there then moved to the suburbs outside of Chicago), about Daley and he said yeah he knew about that. I never knew and he could have told me that but he didn't. Don't know why he held back on that info. At least for the most of his time there, Daley kept things under control unless there's some stuff I don't know about cuz like I said, I didn't care for politics back then and I've always thought Daley was the better mayor after seeing Rahm and Lightfoot in action.

But then again, politics in Illinois has always been confusing for me, which is why I didn't bother listening to that until Trump came along because he was serious business with no bull. That's what I wanted in a person running America or at least Illinois. As someone who used to live close to Chicago, I've learned through my democrat "friend" (long story but I don't consider him a friend, just an acquaintance even though we grew up together, for many reasons) that Chicago/Illinois politics have been corrupted for a long time. The ironic part is he thinks it's only the Republicans that have been doing the corrupting (Blagojevich and George Ryan being ones of the many he named while praising Dawn Clark Netsch, Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama, Carol Mosley Braun, etc).
Oddly enough, I wasn't interested in politics back then, yet he talked to me for days about people he was on their campaign and such and I somehow listened to what he said. He said one day he will run for office and hopefully for President and I can't wait for that day to come because I got a ton of dirt on him! LEGIT dirt. Including that time he tried to kill me and his whole family with a chef knife, while on a psychotic rage.

Yes this is true, this is why I've stopped watching movies that has been released in the last 5 years. I love watching movies as I'm an avid movie fan, but that changed in an instant.
I've been watching old movies lately, even the ones I've not seen before (including the sappy romance movies I didn't want to watch but I did and learned to enjoy it better than the current movies that's out there and even the cult hits and B movies are better than today's movies).
It's not just movies. I'm also an avid video gamer and with the stupid Gamergate shit that's going around, I've found myself disinterested in today's releases of games, even the hottest games that's out there. Usually the games that's being marketed as the BEST games out there are the ones that is shitty like The Last of Us 2 (recently got the Game of the Year award or at least the acknowledgment) so that says everything. Right now I don't have time for games but if I'm ever in the mood to play video games, you will find me playing retro games or games that have been released prior to Gamer Gate.
I'm not upset that I got redpilled. I'm glad I got redpilled because now whenever I have to sit through a movie that has been recently released (End Game being the last recent movie released that I've watched), I literally couldn't sit through the entire movie without a queasy feeling in my stomach. I used to sit through the movie, watching EVERY single minute of the movie so I don't miss one single detail, but now I just sit there and either browse TDW or go on my phone and occasionally look at the movie then back to what I was doing. I missed a lot of details but I didn't care.
This is a stark difference between then and now. Being redpilled truly changed my actions and views on Life. I could go on with sports, but you get the idea here.
Makes me happy to see there are sensible people living in Chicago! Truly miss Chicago before that shitstains Rahm and Lightfoot took over.

Stopped watching the news for about 30 years now.
I lived in an area where they were always showing black crime on the news and I got tired of hearing about black on black violence everyday (shooting, killing, gang related crimes, drugs, etc) so I just turned it off. It was basically 90% black crime, 10% anything else.
Didn't get involved into politics til Trump so yeah that also means I didn't watch CNN/Fox or any channels that covers politics. Not starting anytime soon tho.
