My best friend is a NYC school teacher. She's loving the teach from home zoom teaching gig. Since Covid shut all the schools down, all she does all day is smoke pot and get high. It is absolutely crazy and these teachers are getting away with murder.
While this may be good, it can also be bad for people who live in my community. On Long Island in NY, our property taxes are sky high. The average blue collar middle class working family living in a small home with no basement pays an average of $12,000-$14,000 in property taxes. Larger houses generally pay about $16,000-$20,000 per year. Our houses are not mansions and most people are struggling as it is.
Approximately $7,000-$8,000 of those taxes go to public school teachers. In my school the phys ed teachers even make between $100-120,000 a year which is ridiculous! What happens when the federal funding that pays these teachers stops? They still get a paycheck whether 10 or 30 kids are in each class. With less funding, they are going to have to pay these teachers the same salary no matter what as they are tenured and in a union. They will probably have to raise our property taxes to double to still pay these same teacher's salaries now that the government funding will be stopped.
Home owners across Long Island struggle to pay these property taxes as they are. This might get ugly here on Long Island.

Thank God my mother is smart enough to be refusing the vaccine. She works at a hospital that mandates the flu vaccine every year. They won't let you into the building without proof you took your flu shots. There is a kind security guard there that always lets my mom get in without it. I'm just afraid they are going to crack down and force here to take it. She will have to quit here job then.

I have a small online business and the average shipping price for any box that is under 5 pounds and just one inch over 12"x12"x12" costs my customers $40-$60!! The items I ship are not large or heavy either. We are all subsidizing Amazon's "Free Prime Shipping" and packages from Chyna.
I had a friend, that on her wedding day her husband to be came down with Bell's Palsy. The whole left side of his face was frozen and his left eye drooped down. It looked like he had a stroke. He could hardly talk and it was frightening to see that happen a young, 24 year old guy. Thankfully he recovered within a few days, but there is no way I am taking that vaccine if that may be one of the side effects.

It has already been happening the past few weeks. Most of my favorite Trump supporting youtube channels have gotten their live streaming capabilities taken away and most of them have moved over to D-Live. I hate D-Live's format, but at least I can still watch some of them still. The others have simply disappeared and most got their whole entire youtube channels taken down or any new videos have been taken down almost immediately.

It's so coincidental that I am reading what you said about CBD. Right before I read your post, I just ordered a CBD vape pen and was nervous about trying CBD for the first time. I have severe panic disorder and anxiety. My doctor of 20 years recently retired and I have been off my meds since and trying to find a new Dr. because my condition relapsed.
Since Covid-19, all the local doctors in my area are no longer taking on new patients because they are jammed full with anxiety patients. I was at my wits end because of all the suffering and read something stating that CBD oil helps people with Panic Disorder and anxiety. I am hoping the CBD helps.
