I agree, but he lost in the end and he dragged us along with him for weeks.
I get it. I probably come across as Adam Ruins Everything because I'm totally into any and all conspiracy theories as well as mythology.
But he still found himself on the side of raising the age to 21 nationwide which, though I don't use nicotine, I disagree with. Nicotine is one of the least of our worries.
That's my point though. To say that we have to keep pot banned because of "principle" is jut silly.
Well Trump did push the $2,000 post election and if we are going to ban substances, we should have started with alcohol.
His push to raise the age for nicotine purchase and e-cigarette regulation was also a put off to many.
Trump is done. Let the man retire. Probably his plan all along.
That's a shame. I mean, I've lost friends and my brother won't talk to me. I don't mind too much, but at this point, I'm not going to stand up for Trump around family anymore.
There were not a few who asked why Trump didn't make the $2,000 stimulus plan more of a priority during his 2020 run. Now while that may have alienated some republicans, it would have probably been mostly the Lincoln Project republicans who already decided on Biden.
Long story short, there are places Trump could have outwitted his own party (Republicans) to broaden his base, but he chose not to.
He would have been unstoppable if he had legalized it nationally.
Don't waste your life worrying about what you can't change. There are bigger forces at play and they keep the little guys arguing about silly things. Just build bridges where you can.
Seems pretty consistent though. This is not like the one from CNN where they admitted Russia Collusion was BS. This guy truly seems to believe Trump is Hitler and that's fairly consistent with what they've been saying all these years.
Do yourself a favor and accept reality.
Then fine. Let's go with it and see what happens.
I really do think they just play us against each other. Obama won to make the right angry, then Trump won and the left went mad. Who knows? Maybe in four or eight years we'll have a Paul Ryan in the white house.

The mods have investigated themselves and found no wrongdoing.
McCarthy was in time, not ahead of his time. The rest of us are way behind.
Shapiro? Who would bother telling him to tone it down?
So just throw our hands in the air and let big tech silence everyone?
I may not have liked Elizabeth Warren as a person or politician, but I did agree with her talk about breaking up big tech. You may not trust her, but we should be open to ideas from the "other side" that make sense and sign on with those. That's how things used to get done anyway.
So it's all or nothing? Antitrust regulation can be good and are needed when a handful of companies control all commerce.
You'd have to get rid of the "free market at all cost" republicans first.
Because we believe in free speech. We rarely protest. We aren't even playing by the same rules.
John Roberts wasn't afraid of BLM. He was afraid of the people who financed them...
He lost the legal battle all the while making us believe he could win. Maybe he didn't know at first, but by the 6th, he would have known.
