Realistically, it makes sense that only people who own property (homes/land) should be able to vote. I don't own anything so even I would be excluded from voting. Why should people who don't own anything have the right to tell other people to pay higher property tax on something they've long since paid off?

I have no idea how that stuff works. Let's say, hypothetically, I have $5000 usd to invest into bitcoin. Where does it go from there? I get a fraction of a whole "bitcoin"? How quickly does the market turn that into more money and is it easy to sell it to turn it back into cash? How does the IRS treat money that was made from selling a bitcoin investment?
