I mean there would still be elections. That isn't really a monarchy.
Models are awesome. They're just limited by the data you use to fit them, which is still pretty sparse for this. If it were easy to fit models to complex data then economists would all be rich. Models are what allow your thermometers (for example) to work, though. You just have to have reasonable expectations and evaluate the efficacy of the model.
There are tons of places spending should be cut. Roads aren't really an option, AND it's cheaper now than ever, AND it'll create jobs and reinvigorate the economy (probably help Trump get reelected, too).
Twitter and reddit must be deserted. They've shown they have no interest in upholding free speech, instead preferring to put their finger on the scales because they're losing.
The EU is too financially dependent on them. They want the belt & roads initiative because they're on the same meta-continent. They're compromised.
